Every itinerary runs at two paces. Full: three or four stops a day, most meals booked, early starts. Relaxed keeps the same length, the same hotels and the same arrival and departure, and books less into each day: one anchor per half day, later starts, lunch mostly at leisure, and a free afternoon or evening every second day. Either pace can run from the same booking, because the rooms do not change. What changes is tickets, meals and guide hours.

Arrival
An afternoon flight arrives and we take you straight to the hotel. Dinner is Chinese, seven dishes and a soup, close enough to the hotel that the first evening stays easy.

The tall city and the old creek
Up the Burj Khalifa in the morning to levels 124 and 125. Lunch, then the afternoon belongs to the old city: an abra across the creek, the Gold Souk and the Spice Souk, and Al Seef along the water. We walk into The Dubai Mall as the light goes and stay for the fountain show before dinner.

New Dubai and the Palm
A photography morning: the Museum of the Future, the Dubai Frame and the open beach at Jumeirah. After lunch we go up The View at The Palm on level 52, where the whole frond opens out below you. Dinner is at Atlantis The Royal, with a photo stop at Ain Dubai on the way, and then the airport.
