Privacy policy
What Beneficial Travel Inc. collects when you use this site or apply for partner access, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated: October 8, 2026
01Who we are and how to reach us
This site is operated by Beneficial Travel Inc., a California corporation founded in 1987, with its head office at 716 S Garfield Ave, Suite B, Alhambra, CA 91801, USA. Beneficial Travel Inc. is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Our Dubai operation, BTI Tourism FZCO, trade license [number], works from Shop 10, Russia Cluster W03, International City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, P.O. Box 186931. BTI Tourism FZCO handles your personal data on our behalf when it quotes and operates programs in the United Arab Emirates, and our Taipei desk does the same for Asia Pacific trade partners.
For anything to do with your personal data, write to justin@btitourism.com, or to the Dubai address above marked "Data request". We answer within 30 days.
02What we collect
When you send us a brief, we collect what the brief form asks for: your name, company and work email address, the group size, target dates, preferred hotel tier, the conference or incentive split, a budget per person if you choose to give one, your non-negotiables and anything else you tell us. Items you collect into a brief on this site stay in your browser until you press send; nothing reaches us before that.
When you apply for partner access, we collect your name, agency, work email address, source market, license or IATA number, annual volume and any notes you add. If we approve the application, the partner account also holds a password, stored only as a hash we cannot read, and a history of sign-ins and the trip briefs saved to the account.
When you subscribe to the Bulletin, we collect your name, company, email address and the language edition you chose, together with the date and the way you confirmed the subscription.
Whenever you use the site, our hosting provider records the IP address, browser type and pages requested in its server logs, as every website does, and the spam screening on our forms records the result of its check.
We do not collect payment card details through this site. Payments for a confirmed program are arranged under the commercial agreement for that file, outside the site.
03Why we collect it, and the lawful basis
To quote and operate a program. Your brief, your contact details and the traveler details that follow a confirmed booking are used to prepare the proposal, confirm the hotels, transport and venues, and run the program on the ground. We rely on the steps you ask us to take before a contract and on the contract itself.
To review partner applications and keep the partner area secure. This is a trade-only service, so we check that an applicant is who they say they are and belongs to an approved agency, and we keep a record of sign-ins to detect misuse. We rely on our legitimate interest in running the service properly, balanced against your interest in privacy.
To send you the Bulletin. We rely on your consent, given by a separate tick box and confirmed by email, and you can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every edition.
To meet our legal obligations, including the record-keeping that tax and commercial law in the United Arab Emirates and the United States require of a travel business.
We do not make automated decisions about you and we do not profile you.
04Who we share it with
The companies that run this site for us, under contract and only on our instructions: Supabase, which hosts the database and the partner sign-in; Resend, which sends our transactional email such as confirmations and access codes; Sanity, which delivers the site content; and Cloudflare, which hosts the site and screens the forms for spam. None of them may use your data for their own purposes.
When we operate a program you have booked, the hotels, transport companies, venues, restaurants and licensed guides in the United Arab Emirates and the wider region that deliver it. They receive only what they need to run their part, which is normally the rooming list, the manifest and any dietary or access requirements.
Within our own company: BTI Tourism FZCO in Dubai, our Taipei desk and our head office in Alhambra, California, each for the part of the work it does.
Public authorities, where the law requires it, for example immigration formalities for a group.
We never sell or rent your personal data, and we never give the trade list to anyone outside the company.
05Where it is stored, and for how long
Our database and sign-in records are held by Supabase in [region, to be confirmed by the developer]; transactional email by Resend in [region]; site content by Sanity in [region]; and the site itself on Cloudflare's global network. Because we work from Dubai, Taipei and California, your data is accessed from those three places, each under the same controls.
We keep each class of record for as long as it is needed, then delete it: partner applications, whether approved or not, for 24 months from the decision; submitted briefs, quotations and the files that follow them, for the life of the file and five years after it closes, which is the period tax and commercial record-keeping require; Bulletin subscriptions, until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only a suppression record for 30 days so that we do not write to you again by mistake; partner sign-in events, for 12 months; the audit log of changes to partner accounts, for 24 months; and server logs, for 30 days.
06Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask for it in a portable form, object to a particular use of it, and withdraw your consent to the Bulletin at any time. Where a law in the place you live gives you further rights, those apply too.
Write to justin@btitourism.com or to the Dubai address in section 1. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We answer within 30 days and we do not charge for a request unless it is plainly repetitive. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
07Marketing and the Bulletin
The Beneficial Bulletin is our trade edition on travel and hospitality in the United Arab Emirates. You subscribe by giving your details and ticking the box, and we send a confirmation email; the subscription starts only when you click the link in it. Every edition carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect at once.
We do not send marketing to anyone who has not subscribed, we do not add brief or partner-application contacts to the Bulletin without a separate tick, and the trade list is never sold, rented or shared.
08Children
This is a trade site for travel agencies and corporate planners. It is not directed at children, we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have done so we delete it.
09Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we post the new version on this page with a new "last updated" date, and a change that affects how we use your data is also announced by email to partner account holders and Bulletin subscribers before it takes effect. A change takes effect on the date shown at the top of the page.
Questions about this document. Write to justin@btitourism.com and the Dubai desk will pass it to the right person.
The other two
Send us the brief
Group size, target dates, preferred hotel tier and any non-negotiables are enough for us to start. A costed proposal follows within two working days.
